About Us

We are a family business created by sisters-in-law who discovered a mutual love of Art, crafts, design and good food.

Starting with Barabrellen Cakes in 2002, the business has gone from strength to strength, having taken over the Sugarcraft Emporium nearly four years ago.

Barbara has been making and decorating cake for some 25 years, creating beautiful stunning cakes for all occasions.

While Ellen has always had a passion for cake decorating and sugarcraft, she followed a career in the business sector in America. Taking her interest more seriously, she took the Master class at the Wilton School of Confectionary Art in Chicago, before coming to England to help set up the business.

We have several enthusiastic part time staff who are all willing to help in any way they can. Along with husband Clive who helps in the shop when possible, with a friendly atmosphere where everyone is welcome.
